The Scarcroft Summer Fair will be held on 7th July after school in the playground. The fair will be a similar format to previous years (see below) but with the addition of a Lego Card swapping station for those wishing to complete their collections.
Here’s a reminder of the last couple of year’s Summer Fairs.
Summer Fair 2016 (a sunny 8th July)
As if by magic the sun came out for Summer Fair and it was a lot of fun with a great turn out all round. Thank you to everyone that came along and all those who helped running stalls, setting up and clearing away. The fair had takings of £2,000 plus raffle takings (yet to be totalled), so well done everyone involved.
The raffle was drawn during the fair, well done to all the winners and thank you to our generous prize donors – scroll down – all winners and donors are listed below.
Thanks also to Sainsbury Local for donating the bread buns, M&K Butchers also on Bishopthorpe Rd for supplying the meat for the BBQ and Piglets, Towthorpe for donating the prize for this years Pig Racing, parents Joss Hazel and Tangerine for donating sweets, Leanne and Simon Baynes and Millies and Simon Baynes Wholesale for donating coconuts for the shy, and parents Bob Scrase, Vicky Walpole, Joanne Weatherstone, governor Becky White for donating other stock and prizes and all families who brought in jars and contents, books and soft toys for the stalls. Thanks to all who helped set up, run a stall, clear away and all who came along to enjoy the afternoon, we raised £1,900 (and thanks to Naomi W and Julie Whelan for these photos).
